MY SCHOOL WILL BE ABLE TO PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION FOR STUDENTS:*
 YES   NO

IF YOUR SCHOOL WILL PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION, PLEASE SPECIFY HOW
(forming an after-school Arts Passport club, using sports busses, etc.):
Please note: The RI Arts Learning Network may be able to provide limited financial transportation assistance for low-income schools, but the program relies primarily on after-hours arrangements by students and families with teacher and student leader assistance. Students, with their peers, are learning to take responsibility for their own participation in community arts events. All teachers will be responsible for helping students figure out transportation options. Student leaders of Arts Passport are encouraged to help support their peers, and organize small groups to attend together. An Arts Passport club format may work best for your school. Parent volunteers will also receive free admission to Arts Passport events when they transport a small group of students.)

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE US TO KNOW?:

Assurances
By submitting this application, we understand that if we are accepted and participate:

Arts Passport would become an official program of the school abiding by all applicable laws, regulations, and procedures;

All educators who are accepted agree to incorporate the professional arts experiences into their students' work for PBGR , and to attend two professional development sessions to share student work and give program feedback;

Specific numbers of our students will be allowed to participate as determined with the RI Arts Learning Network, based on the number of opportunities available for 08-09.

Acceptance Process
All applications will be reviewed by the management team of the RI Arts Learning Network. As many applications will be accepted as possible. In the event that some applicants need to be eliminated, preference will be given to the following:
  • schools that have at least 35% free and reduced lunch
  • teams that include an English teacher with at least one arts educator
Please note that all teachers accepted will sign an acceptance form along with the principal.
